The Center has embraced the diversity of the borough of Queens in its dual mission of education and remembrance.  The current exhibit, The Nanjing Massacre: Genocide and Denial, presents a chilling examination of the horrific events in Nanjing, China, in 1937 when Japanese troops invaded the then capital city, slaughtering hundreds of thousands of innocent people.
