Criminal Records Expungement & Sealing

Oklahoma Expungement Law

Oklahoma Title 22, Sections 18-19 Statutes govern expungement and record sealing.

Two primary types of relief available:

  • Section 18 Expungements: Apply to dismissed charges, acquittals, and deferred sentences that completed without conviction
  • Section 19 Expungements: Apply to certain convictions after sentence completion with variable waiting periods by offense
  • Record Sealing: Alternative remedy that restricts access rather than destroying records
