38-acre non-profit wildlife sanctuary in Northern Nevada foothills (20-30 minutes from central Reno). Established in 1981, Animal Ark provides lifetime homes for orphaned, injured, and non-releasable wildlife. Opened to public in 1994. Never bred, sold, or traded any animals since opening.
Kit foxes, desert tortoises (native to Nevada's Great Basin), Bengal tigers, African servals, wolves, raptors, cheetahs, and many more. Primarily features native North American predators with a few exotic species.
