Interesting
Fact
Alabama was called "The Cotton State". Most of the farmers grew cotton.
An insect named the "Boll weavil" came and destroyed much of the crop.
The farmers quickly began growing peanuts and raising livestock.
To this day, the Town of Enterprise has a statue/monument of the boll
weavil.
